Has anyone tried the original height cobra tire listed on the Roger Krauss racing website[26.5x8.0-15 front and 26.5x10.5-15 rear][non-DOT tires] ??? I have the original type FIA rims from PS engineering[7.5 front and 9.5 rears]...I need to use a narrower tire on the rear than the approx 12 inch cross section that the above 26.5x10.5-15 tire will give due to the narrower 289Fia fender wells on my Unique...Could I use the 26.5x8.0-15 tire on the front AND the rear??? The heights are similar for these tires with the front being 26.3" and the rear being27.1"...I will have no clearance problem using the 26.5x8.0-15 tire for the front. THANKS FOR ANY INPUT...I am assuming that these specific tires will be the best tire I can get for the 15 inch rim.

I have both the slicks and the treaded non DOT. I love em both but that front tire is a big one in that it will rub on my ERA 427 S/C at full lock. You should call and ask for Roger, he may have experience with the unique FIA.
