Throwout fork part #??

I am installing a scattershield on my 351W and I want to change the throwout fork from the late model style with the ball mount on the end of the fork to the older style which pivots on the angle bracket.
The scattershield will accept both types but I had a problem with the late model type in that the clutch(Centerforce dual friction) was barely releasing even though Iwas getting full travel from the slave.

I just need the Ford part number for the fork.
Thanks,
Cranky

Try these:

C80Z-7515-A - Small spline
C80Z-7515-D - Big spline

I don't remember if you have a toploader or Tremec, but I think the small spline one works for the Tremec. I might be wrong. Maybe someone can verify that.

Thanks Dave, I'll go see the local Ford dealer this week.
BTW Tremec

Getting the ball stud adjusted just right can make all the difference if your slave doesn't have any extra travel. Also, making a perfect length slave pushrod is sometimes necessary, so you won't waste any piston movement at all.

Mr. Fixit,
It seems like the ratio on slave to bearing is higher with the older type and offers more room for adjustment. I have considered keeping the ball type. No desicions yet.
Thanks for the help.
