Aluminum Radiators

What should I look when shopping for an aluminum radiator?

Make sure it will fit perfectly without any modifications. Most of them are not weldable as the fins and tubes are epoxied into place and won't take the heat. Aluminum radiators don't cool that much better than the same design made with copper/brass contrary to popular belief.

You can order alum radiators in a wide variety of sizes, also as standard OEM replacement sizes. I chose to go with an AFCO Racing alum rad (non epoxy) 19 x 26.

They modified it for me by eliminating the filler cap, adding AN fittings instead of hose fittings and installed a petcock drain. Cost me 255.00.

I originally had a Griffin but it leaked and I chucked it.

I second AFCO also, coleman racing products and stock car products. They always have those hard to find parts and like roscoe said, they will modify.

AFCO is a good choice and fair priced. I had mine made by Arts Radiator in New Jersey. Excellent job and mine is a multi chambered and has really helped my overheating problem. Oh yea and no epoxy in it either but I spent about $400.
