Just wondering what kind of perfomance, HP and torque, you can get out of one of these guys and for what degree of modification? ...accept turbo

Thanks :>

Cheers

This actually looks sweet.

Go ahead and laugh

But they are coming and they will be force to deal with in NASCAR.

The above engine is very sweet.

Thanks sparks/gear88, I would be lying if I said I didnt expect that reaction from someone! Thank you to 65blur.

Does anyone know anyone know any power figures for NA output on these engines?

65 Blur 04-11-2003 09:51 AM

Lexus is stating 290 hp with this engine in the LS430. I have a '98 LS400 and the smaller engine is still amazing. I get 24+ MPG and can pull away from most cars on the road. :p

I think that motor looks GREAT stuffed into the Cobra. Very High tech.

Thanks again Blur :>

Mr. 65 blur,
Do you live near the fault? I visited several years ago. One of the most facinating things I've ever seen.
Steven

65 Blur 04-14-2003 11:22 AM

Steve,
Hollister is just east of the San Andreas fault. We have much activity on the ol' Richter scale here.

hross14 04-16-2003 11:19 AM

Graduated from Cal State San Bernardino and the fault runs right behind the school. FYI What a great place to put a public school with some of todays/future greatest/no so greatest minds HMMM

RallySnake 04-16-2003 02:03 PM

Hey Blur,

I'm just East of it. I'll wave as we pass you! :D

Paul

Paul,
I have been corrected by my wife - we are also east of the fault. When the west side slides in, we will have an ocean view.

PS - Looks like not too much change from the Arntz to the Butler. Are those the ABS inserts on Centerline wheels?

Roy

RallySnake 04-16-2003 06:47 PM

Roy,

Yes they are. I love the lightness and strength of the Centerlines. I got the disks from Brett and the knockoffs from Speedway motors. They don't look quite as nice as Halibrands but they save a couple of pounds per wheel.

Have you done the camping thing at Laguna seca? That's on my definate "to do" list.

Paul
