bafflels in valve covers
When is it necessary to have baffles in the valve covers?
|
Not necessary, but they certainly help prevent oil from getting out the breathers and making a mess on top of your valve covers. Lack of baffles is my number one pet peeve with aftermarket valve covers, I have added them to all my aftermarket covers that didn't have them.

I agree with Mr.fixit. I made baffles out of SS and bolted them in.
Wihtout them, oil gets in the PCV system. Litterally, you can be burning oil and make a real mess. Just my $0.02 Trularin |
Try stuffing some Scotch-brite in the breather tube; it won;t let the oil through but passes the air. Don't use the pre-soaped stuff.
