Roll Bar installation on MK IV

I am thinking of putting a 427SC style roll bar in my MK IV Autokraft. For my thought I need to know: Tubing diamaeter? radius of hoop? What angle? Relative the frame rails? How far back for the down leg? and At what angle? Relative the main hoop? Where does it attach to at the bottom? Anything else would be appriciated. Thanks again.

sario - did you ever add the roll bar to your AC Cobra Mk IV? If so, how difficult was it? Costly? Problems with the support into the trunk going through the fuel tank?

Thanks,
Dave

No, I haven't yet any ideas? The main thing I am worried about is that we have 3in less rear (and front) cowling.

Hi Sario,
Most of the US-Spec MK IV's w rollbars run the downtubes inside the cockpit. Only thr rear tube passes through the body. Don't forget that there is a gas tank right there. In England at AC, they said that they could modify the gas tank so to run the roll bar through it if you want the original look. Sounds expensive!
