Heater hose on Intake ??
I Have a FOMOCO 2X4 Med riser intake. See my gallery.
I know that one of the heater hoses goes to the water pump but where does the other one go? I know it goes on the front of the intake but I have two holes, one is behind the distributer and the other one is behind the t-stat. My water temp sender is in the one behind the t-stat. Do I have to move the sender to the hole behind the distributer? Mike |

The traditional location for the hose is the tapped hole just behind the t-stat, and yup, move your temp sender behind the distributer, ....you may need a short sender or need to nipple up your mount :D :D :D KK |

Definetly goes into manifold behind thermostat and NAPA makes a
thermostat housing with a bung on to to mount the temp or in my case the fan turn on sensor. |

the only problem with that is, the t-stat housing on an FE is the tank. BTW handsome engine! KK |
Traditionally, both heater hoses are on the right side (passenger side) of the motor. One hose (the heater return hose) goes to the water pump and the feed hose plumbs into a cad plated right angle hose nipple in the manifold directly behind the thermostat housing. One heater pipe is usually labeled as the inlet. You should do it the correct way and move your temp sensor to the other side of the motor. The proper hose nipple can be obtained from Virginia Mustang and a host of other places selling repro FE parts. Also, check out a drawing on the ERA website that shows how the hoses run including the use of a manual cable operated heater shutoff valve (highly recommended). See the photo below of my setup.
