Fuel Filter b4 the elec fuel pump?
Is anyone running a fuel filter in front of their fuel pump? If so what filter did you choose? Wouldn't your filter need to be able to handle more volume than your fuel pump?

I've got an inline 9" filter between the tank and the pump. It has a gross 40 micron filter to take out any big stuff that could damage the pump. It also has a reusable stainless cartridge. I also have another filter between the pump and the carb. Roscoe |
I run one of the Fram racing units BEFORE the pump. Kind of a big unit but is cheap and has replaceable elements. Can be had at Summit for around $45.

I just ordered a high volume Aeromotive fuel pump and was told that the pump could malfunction if debris was carried into the pump from my fuel tank. The pump itself is very good but the clearances are very close. Clois |
I run a 3/8 in and 3/8 out inline filter that you can get at Murrays.
$10.00 is cheap insurance and it does not interfer with the operation of the pump. Just my $0.02 |
After reading Roscoe's setup again, I would say I have the very same setup.
