Examples of beating a dead horse:

- What's the best kit?

- Which is better, a square tube frame or a round tube frame?

- EFI or carb?

- IRS or live axle?

- Is a CSX4000 series a Real Cobra?

- What's the correct hood rivet spacing?

- My friend's brother's cousin's great-uncle's dog has a Cobra in his barn. How much do you think it's worth?

- I'm planning on putting a 9000hp motor in my Cobra. Is that going to be safe?

Don't forget the chunks vs. chips in cookies.

'I only use automatic weapons', my kind of guy!

Did you see the post over on cobra net about you getting the humanitarian of the year award from the national rifle association? I thought it was a rip.

I'm sorely disappointed; this thread is only a week old and it's petering out far too soon. In the support of the American Warhorse Flogging Unity Club (AWFUC), I offer these choices for your intellectual stimulation and amusement. Select any of the following and see if you can get that expired equine up and running:

Goodyear or Firestone?
Ford or Chevy?
Domestic or import?
Hersheys or Nestles?
Chevron or Texaco?
Union or Confederate?
Champion or Autolite?
Strawberry or vanilla?
Leather or vinyl?
Nike or Adidas?
Roadster or coupe?
Granite or Corian?
Whitewall or blackwall?
Levis or Wranglers?
Spinners or lugnuts?
PC or Macintosh?
VHS or Beta?
Fedex or UPS?

Forget what they say. Put a BB chevy in it. Twice as reliable and half the cost.

Time to duck and run.

      :D

On the serious side... Put in what ever makes you happy. Who care what others think. Opinion are like a$$holes, everybody has one and they all stink.

Chopper- That's not a fair list. You have a lot of "no brainers" in there which should not even be the subject of debate. For example:

Strawberry or vanilla? Vanilla
Leather or vinyl? Leather
Nike or Adidas? Nike
Roadster or coupe? Roadster
Levis or Wranglers? Levis
VHS or Beta? VHS

:D

Rick-
If you think BETA was better, you should definetely not switch to a big block. It is clear that the exhaust fumes from your small block are clouding your thinking. **) **) I can't imagine the things that'd you'd say if you were subjected to the exhaust fumes from a big block;) :p

Most TV stations still use Beta to do their editing. Why? Because Beta is the better format!

Big Small Blocks are by far the best engine choice! Less weight, just as much power! :p

rdorman 09-17-2003 02:31 PM

Another smoker?

Do you smoke your tailpipes to?;)
Rick

Chaplin 09-17-2003 02:35 PM

Well, being in the advertising business for -- closing in on 20 years now, I might have a thing or two to add to the fire. :)

FYI, the beta TV stations use is not the same as the home beta format was. Beta home format was 1/2" tape. BetaSP (professional use) is 3/4" wide. We also use 1" wide tape on occaision, although the high end stuff now is DigiBeta. Obviouly Sony has driven the market.

FWIW, home beta WAS a technologically better format than VHS, but Sony lost that marketing battle to the Matsush1ta corporation (Panansonic, et al).

With that being said, I think an ever better discussion would be:

Wilma vs. Betty

or

Ginger vs. Maryann.

:) :) :) LOL

Ben
