BDR Alternator problem
I have a Prostar Alternator. It has three wires, one goes to the battery, where do the other two go to? I'm assuming to a 12v source? The other to the Alt charging light? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Guys,
I'm going to use the setup labled Without ignition light in the above diagram. Does the dotted line labled from battery mean that I must run a wire to the battery? ( sorry for the stupid question). What size wire should I use and how do I attach it to the battery? Thanks for the help, as you can tell I am not an electrical expert |
It should come from the fuse panel. Use 8 or 10 gage wire.

But the BATT lead from the alternator is most often connected to the same terminal on the starter solenoid with the positive cable from the battery. - Jim - |
