aluminum radiator for 1996 classic roadser

any suggestions for which Griffin radiator to replace original CR without too much modification ? Would like to use my original fan.

Go to the Classic Roadster forum and ask Don Scott.

HE KNOWS ALL !!!

I got my Griffin and Spal fans from him. They work great!

There may be a little fabrication on the radiator mounts to make the switch. Ask Don he will explain what has to be done.

Ditto. Griffin rad swap involves specially made rad, different rad to frame mount, and the correct way of mounting the fan (and fan selection and wiring). A little on the pricey side unfortunately, but it works. I installed the CR Griffin rad conversion kit, and it works great.

If using March pulleys, get the "Street Rod" ratio, not the "Performance" ratio. And use somebodys' (Edelbrock, Stewart, Wyand, etc.) high flow water pump.

I've read on this forum of aluminum and brass radiator options that will save a few bucks, but don't include the radiator and hood bracket you need to make everything work, and fit.

Don Scott is a straight shooter. If he suggests a solution, go for it. It will work, and will be the most cost effective.

A Cobra builder needs to prioritize his build budget to cooling system, electrical system, suspension, steering, and brakes. Then build a moderately warm street motor to go in it. The Cobras that guys won't part with follow these build guidelines. The Cobras that wind up on e-Bay with 600HP motors for seemingly low prices didn't.
