I need a flexible screwdriver
Hi Guys,
I need a flexible flat head screwdriver. Anyone know where I can pick one up. It would need to have a fairly small diameter shaft and be pretty small on the end as it needs to fit between two carbs that are pretty close together. I have the 6 duce set up on my car and need the screwdriver to get to the adjustment screws on the front of the center rochester carbs. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance |
Dennis,
Ive got one , cant remember where I got it......I would try Snap-on. |
Dennis,
Sears has a quarter inch flex extension. Put a 1/4 inch socket on it and a screw bit. Or have some rubber fingers surgically implanted;) (women love mine) Steven |
Snap on used to have a screwdriver made for carbs.
Since this is old ( real old according to my son ), you may have to shop ebay. I have one, kind of looks like a hockey stick. |
Thanks guys,
Steve, I went out and bought the Sears driver a few days ago. The 1/4 inch socket end makes it a bit too big. But I got a neat screwdriver out of the deal. I'm sure I'll use it sometimes. Can't bring myself to take tools back. :D I'll figure out a way to check snap on. Thanks for the tip. |
Dennis, here's exactly what the doctor ordered. Use it in good health.

Dennis, you should be able to go to nearly any local parts house whth a tool rack and pick one up. Called a carburetor adjusting tool. Similar in style to the Snap-On one above, it has a flexible shaft and 4 or 5 different tips that store in the handle. They're about 6 or 8 bucks. Saw one yesterday and thought of picking it up for you.
