Roll Bar

I am just starting to build my Cobra. I have a friend that will make a stainless steel roll bar for me but I need the specs. on it. Mainly how high does the bar stick up above the body? Is it basically 12" center to center? Are all roll bars 1.5" or 1.75". What about making it 2" or 2.25"? I realize it's my decision but I would like a second opinion. Thanks in advance for any replies.

what dim?

Prof,
In reality that a tough question. Are you wanting it like the originals SC type, are you using the same angles, where are your measurements taken at, and so on.
Basic they were 1.5" dia and about 10 .75" vertical in height for the inside leg taken at vertical centerline or the bar top arc.
Wouldn't Midstates give you those dimensions consistent with their frame member locations, and anles for rear leg and how they attach them?

Call midstates and talk to chuck. He works in the shop there and will be a great help in this matter. He has always helped me out. Bob is also very helpful.

Thanks Grumpy for the measurements! Thanks Sharp 1 for directions. I'm just starting this project so I need a little direction to get started.
