Brake and Clutch Bleeding
#1- In bleeding my brakes and clutch yesterday evening with a buddy, we we bled the clutch but even engaged it is difficult to put into gear. We took the cover off at other end of slave to see if it was pulling the clutch fork in. It seemed to do just fine but it is real hard to put into gear. In fact, there is no noticable difference with the clutch engaged or not while shifting. We thought that perhaps under driving conditions it might be better- is this possible? or other suggestions would be fantastic. I installed a PRO shifter that has a stubby arm approx 5" long
#2- The bango bolt connection was leaking- My buddy says he never seen copper washers which is what came with the part the bolts came with. Should they be rubber what to stop the leaking. The other side of the brake that has the same set up seems fine. It's not leaking. Again Thanks in advance. |
Banjo fitting nearly always use a soft copper or metal washer,

Check to see if you have any burrs where the brake hose hooks to the caliper. The copper washer should seal just fine. Are you using mechanical linkage on your clutch or a hydraulic throw out bearing? I found that about all the slack needed to be taken up in the linkage for the clutch to disengage properly when using the hydraulic slave cylinder.
