Easy seat modifications 4 better comfort

I have been in pursuit of a more comfortable seat and I have achieved my goal. I liked the traditional look of the seats that came with my Unique but they weren't very comfortable. A lot of the other manufacturers use simular seats. First I angled the seat when I added seat rails and then ended up adding lumbar support. I posted details of this project on uniquecobra.com, see http://www.uniquecobra.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=331

There are also inflateable lumber supports available. Fortunately, our seats don't need 'em.

uniquecobra.com's web site was down earlier but I believe the above link is now working.
The inflatable lumbar support would also be easy to install. However, what I used was basically free and is very comfortable.
Increasing the space under the front edge of the seat also adds a lot to the seat comfort. It provides more support under the thighs and in the small of the back. I had a 3/4" spacer in the front of the seat before, but now I have about 2". As the seat angle is increased, it actually lowers the height of your head and increases the distance between your body and the steering wheel. Most cobras could use a little more arm reach. Even though I added adjustable seat rails, I don't sit up any higher that I did before the seat rails because of the raked seat angle. I added the seat rails because my daughter needed to have the seat closer. The seat rails were under $18.00 see http://www.napaonline.com/cgi-bin/nc...&usrcommgrpid=
