Rick;
You are correct about the hard lines are absent on the earlier HTOB's. I installed mine in 1990 and I ran flex lines to threaded
connectors at the ram housing. However, last week I was looking in the newest P.A.W. catalog and they showed a picture of the
McCleod with two lengths of hard tubing (approx 6") coming out
of the assembly. Back in 90' when I was putting the car together,
I couldn't find any room for the slave to be mounted. That is when I decided to try the HTOB. I will "knock on wood" because I
am still waiting for it to fail. I like it.

Hi Roscoe,
As an alternative to the hydraulic throw out bearings available today, I have developed and am selling an external slave / billet fork clutch release assembly. I have it for FE & 429-460 Big Block Fords, Small Block Ford, Chevrolet & Mopar. This external setup is easy to install, and easy to service (although the slave doesn't have a failure problem). I can send pictures if anyone wants to see this.

Mike Forte,

Welcome to the site. I used to pump your gas, and your brother's at the Wellesley Hills Gulf station back in the early 80s, and was a customer of yours on occasion when your shop was on Moody street. Look's like your biz has done well.

Roscoe, great what you have is working for you.

I have a stock ford fork and a Datsun slave and it works good for me.

Amazing how small the world is.

KIT INFO

Mike,

I am also interested in the custom setup you discussed a few posts ago. I am to the point of reassembly that I have to decide which type setup to go for. I'd like to have more info to make a good decision. My e-mail is cade600@cox.net. I hope to hear from you as soon as you get time.

Thanks

Chris
