Jag or Mustand II suspension

Hello all I am in the process of doing some research on suspension before buying one. What is the difference between the Jag and Mustang II suspension. Is one better than the other? Is one better on the track than on the street? I intend on driving my car mainly on the street with maybe some track time. I would appreciate it if I can get some input from different member using different suspension.

Thanks
Sam

Typically, the suspension you use will be determined by the car mfg. The two are not interchangable.

If you can use Jag, that's great. Components may be pricey, and hard to find.

MII isn't as bad as it sounds with the right aftermarket pieces.

Use aftermarket tubular upper & lower control arms and coil over shocks. Use aftermarket upper control arm bracket.

If the body is not on he car, consider strutless lowers, but needs a bracket welded to frame.

OEM parts will be MII spindle and strut rod. Get these new, with urethane bushings for strut rod.

If manual steering, use the Flaming River rack. If power, use '79 - '86 Mustang rack with standard ratio and high effort valving, not the MII. Flaming River may have a power rack available now as well.

Stainless Steel Brakes, Baer, and a few others offer MII brake kits for Street Rods, and Cobras. Go with 11" front rotors for 15" wheels (10 - 11" rears); 13" front rotors for 17" wheels (11 - 12" rears). Get the entire front and rear setup as a kit with the correct master cylinder, proportioning valve, and e-brake cables.
