With the electric solenoid it can be shut off as soon as the engine has been pre-lubed. The solenoid in the closed position has a one-way capability that allows the accusump to recharge with the solenoid in the off position.

I've had both. Current 520cid aluminum engine has the Preluber. Computer controled to pump oil as long as you want during "dry" start up. And the same feature during shut down so the oil left in the hot bearings does not cook. The shut down feature is mainly for the turbo guys, but makes sense to me. Can also program to come on at a low oil preasure condition. This only works if you have a second pick up point in the oil pan, which I have.

Thats EXACTLY what I was looking for!!!

You guys have pretty much answered all of my questions. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I hope you guys don't mind me on your forum even though I do not own a Cobra or anything close to it.

Thanks again!

I am going with an electric valve, which of the two would you recommend? I am thinking E.P.C.
thanks,

I decided to order my system... Could not go with the EPC valve as my hot idle oil pressure runs lower(12.8psi) than their lowest valve(20-25psi)... I went with the regular electic valve.

Whole kit cost under $375.. not too bad, IMHO.

Thanks for all you help guys!
