Tremec warranties....
I need some input here regarding a Tremec 5 speed. Have any of you had difficulty in pursuing warranty issues with your trans? Mine has less than 2 months and less than 1k miles on it and it is seeping trans fluid out of the top inspection plate, rear tail housing and bottom seam. Any info is helpful as the trans is dripping/leaking more than is tolerable.

Hey Zoom....is your engine a Windsor? That thing looks awfully wide...what valve covers are you using?

It's a 1969 351 Windsor stroked to 418. Valve covers are pentroof design from House of Cobras. They aint cheap!

I "think" Finishline has them. Go to their web site and see. Or call House of Cobras and ask for Dave at 714-630-8001. I paid $525 for a pair of polished pentroof valve covers. No adapter required.

We have the same valve covers, for 351s and 460s, in polished and unpolished. Call if interested. (513) 738-5001

Have heard several stories of incontinent tremecs. My own leaked from the get-go. The leak was difficult to track down, there are some strange aerodynamic goings-on up in the transmission tunnel - moves leaked fluids away from the source. Eventually I took off and re-sealed the shifter tower top plate - instant cure, no more leak. Took at least 15 minutes to complete.
Whilst leaking, the source of the loil looked very like yours - all over the place, but it was just this one point.
Never thought about invoking any kind of warranty - just fixed it.
