13" Moto Lita Steering Wheel
Does anyone have a 13" Moto Lita Style steering wheel? If so where did you get it ? Also, who is using a quick release steering wheel and can you make it look correct with your Moto Lita or similar steering wheel.
The reason I am asking is because now that I have my Road Race seats in my Cobra there would be an added benefit for me to be able to remove my steering wheel during ingress and egress. Could also prove to be a anti-theft devise too. Clois |
I thought Enzo carried a 13" but not according to his website. I am almost sure that is the size wheel that I put on my steering column and the end of last year. I check when I get home and get back with you.

Guilty as charged. 13" Moto Lita in my car, however not the wood-rimmed style - nice comfy padded leather rim, nice MotoLita spokes. Pics in gallery. I think it was called a "series 7" or somesuch - PM me if you want more details and a contact number, might even photocopy the brochure for you if you say nice things about me.
My particular wheel does not have the "holes or slots" in the wheel spokes, which are a no-no for our roadworthiness test (SVA). But they do those if you wish. So far as I am aware, if you go direct to MotoLita, they will bespoke make a wheel for you, they are jolly nice english chaps, a delight to deal with, very old fashioned (actually called me "sir" - me!) and definitely "proper". I believe they could sort you out with a quick-release hub as well, certainly when I spoke to them they were extremely helpful. HTH old chap. |
Wilf,
As usual you have offered up pertinant information that I can use. A true English Gentleman and I thank you SIR! Oh yea, check your PM. GOCATS I appreciate your input as well. If you do have a 13" wheel do you recall where you bought it? Clois |
Clois:
I bought mine thru Enzo at Finishline. He must of changed some things because if you look at his site there is not a 13" to be found. Maybe worth a call to Enzo to see if he has any in stock just not advertised? J.A. |

I just spoke w/ Enzo and he can special order a 13" Moto Lita steering wheel and he does have a quick release (no weld) but you must use a six (6) bolt steering wheel. It is either or but not both. Decisions decisions.... Clois |

Got out the tape measure mine a 14".... sorry about getting your hopes up. But it looks like Enzo came thru.. maybe. I had to take the old steering while that came with the car off only 11.5" not enought turning force for me. A 15" would probably cut into my legs due to the way the seats are positioned. 14" working out great for me should have ordered it that way. J.A. |
