ACCEL makes a system that you might to check out. If used with the CALMAP software and interface, you can use a PC to customize a lot of the engine management parameters.

One of the simplest systems is the SDS-efi.com. 5.0 engine specialist out of Calgary Canada. Used on a lot of special race cars. Cheap and easy to use, have one on a mazda rotary powered race car. But again their primary focus is the 5.0 ford.
