Please help me I.D. this clutch
Gents,
This is the clutch That came in my Cobra. There is no writing on it that identifies which make it is. The disc has very hard metalic pads on it that were not kind to my flywheel (galling). My engine is a stroked S.O. Do you have any reccomendations as to a good clutch that will not tear up my flywheel? http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/u...tchAndDisk.jpg Steve:) |
It is a Mcleod unit. The disc shown is will not allow for a lot of slippage but is intended for maximum transfer of torque after it is clamped by the pressure plate. Not the ideal unit for a street car. They offer a variety of facings that are better suited for non track usage. Good luck
The spline count on the disc would indicate something other than a toploader application??? Rick |
Rick,
Good catch. I have a Tremack 5spd in my car. I'm off to the Mcleod website.... Thanks, Steve :) PS, Any opinions or info as to my other question? |
