soft top windshild clips
i am looking for the clips that hold the front edge of a soft top to the windshild frame. Pictures? source/ drawings? information? Any ideas on making the top a little more stable? Thanks Terry

David, Thanks for the help. your pictures are a big help. My biggest problem is the way the top fastens to the windshield frame it looks like there is a reciever of some type on the top of your frame,how does the top fasten to the frame at this point? Bruce, finish line only list 7 items under top and none of them are clips to fasten the top to the windshield frame.

If you cruise around the ERA web site you can find some photos and drawings of how they fit the tops that they use. Might give you some ideas.

The top of the windshield frame is slotted, with a wider slotted section in the middle. The front bows should have a rivet-like stud in them. The head of the rivet slips into the wider slot, then the bows are moved outward and the studs are trapped in the narrower slot. Then they clamp to the side bars on each side. If they still have slop in them, you can use weather-stripping between them and the top of the windshield. I know all this is confusing, but like someone suggested, take a look at ERA's site.
