SPF Hood Scoop Rivets coming out

I've noticed two rivets on my hood scoop have "raised up" a little bit since I got my SPF. Only about 800 miles so far - ON THE CAR!! ...the rivets haven't moved nearly that far. Maybe 1/8-3/16" **). This engine did blow apart a Summit Fuel Pressure gauge, but come on... It's only a 508 HP 408cid windsor. Not like I'm making 800 HP out of a straight 351 just with compression and a cam. I could see that shaking some things to pieces.

Any SPF owners experience the same thing ever? I'm probably just going to have the guys at Dynamic look at it at SSR 3, but wanted to also know if anyone else had similar experiences.

And just to pre-answer some questions that may come up, there does not appear to be any heat damage whatsoever to the hood, and no the car has never been wrecked. :JEKYLHYDE

They are "Faux Rivets" you can pull the loose ones out and add a dab of glue to them and reinstall.

I thought so. I didn't want to "lead the witness" though, so I'm glad to get that answer. Thanks!!

Raised hood rivets

I noticed it a few days after mine was delivered. I had one rivet that looked like it was coming out by the back of the scoop. I tried to push it back down, that did nothing. I was going to pull it out and glue it back but I just left it and it's been that way for 2800 miles!!

Yup. I had several rivets backing out of my SPFs hood with only a couple of thousand miles on the car. Gently pulled the loose rivets out with a pair of pliers, applied the very smallest dab of epoxy to the hole, pushed the rivet back into place with my fingers. Problem solved - 20,000 miles later they're still snugly in place. Not to worry.
