turn signal malfuction
I have an appointment to get my Cobra inspected Monday and all of a sudden my turn signals are acting up. They have worked perfectly before. The right turn when activated only blinks at the rear and the dash indicator does not do anything. The left turn does not work at all. The hazard lights when activated blink at all four corners as well as the dash indicator lights. I am getting power out of the trun signal switch to both sides but the wires run into a loom and I do not know where to look for the gremlins.
All the fuses are ok. HELP!!! |
Terry,
check your grounds & connections. If things were working and now all of a sudden they are acting up , it sounds like a possible grounding problem. good luck, \Mike |
I had a very similar problem in a late model pick-up. Turned out to be the round blinker relay in the fuse panel. A three dollar part. I just couldn't figure out why the blinkers wouldn't work but the flashers did. Anyway, for three bucks it's worth a look.

Would almost bet that it is a bad "flasher relay" a $3 fix. Had a similar problem in my truck a couple of years ago. Had similar symptoms. Started all at once, worked one day then not the next, yet you could hear the flasher click.
Might be loose grounds--maybe? |
