Starter solinoid
I have a powder blue Ford style starter soilinoid .metal plate under neath bent up behind for mounting. It has a large "S" with a straight bar through it horizontaly and made in USA molded into it on top. It has P2L inked underneath on the metal plate can anyone identify it and possible source.I don't like driving around on $2+ gas shopping for its replacement.

Unless you need a blue one, they are all pretty much 100% the same. 2 big posts, 2 little posts, wiring inside is the same. Any local parts dealer sould have foed starter solenoids in stock.

The powder blue looked great and the way it is made effects the mounting. It has a metal plate that is 1 7/8" wide (the width of the solinoid) that is riveted to the plastic blue housing. It is bent upwards in the back and is wider at the top 2 5/8" for mounting by two 1/4" holes 2 1/16" center to center, and ground. It is arranged master switch with a metal angle strap from the swtched post to the solinoid's post. not a lot of give without more drilling -romancing.They may look simular But idealy I do not want to have to start changing stuff now.
I've seen simular solinoids (fork lift)with two small post where one of the two small posts was a controled ground that was used as a starter protection.
