manual choke help
i've got a choke cable set up, but the sheath of the cable itself has too much spring to it, and when i try to push the choke in (open the valve), the spring in the sheath takes up all of the slack in the cable, and therefore the valve wont close properly...does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this problem or perhaps know of another manual choke cable that might work?
thanks in advance |
Make sure that both ends of the cable housing are firmly attached. If they aren't the housing will flex and won't have the rigidity it needs to function. If they are and you're still getting spring back in the cable shorten the cable housing and cable to a more appropriate length.

RLH,
Check the cable at the carb end, its loose or not secured properly. Ted. |
