CV Joint
Does the axel connect to the CV Joint which then connects to the pumpkin?
How is it connected to the pumpkin ? How can I replace it? Thanks |
The axle is connected to the cv joints. The outside cv joint is attached to the outside half shaft with c-clips or retaining rings. The inner cv joint is free to slide in and out of the inside plunger style half shaft. The inner half shaft is held into the pumpkin with a c-clip. To remove the inside half shaft from the pumpkin pry carefully with a larger screw driver. It will pop out with little effort.

Thanks...that's what I ended up doing.
Do you happen to know the lbs. of torque for the lower control arm. I'm thinking 90 for some reason but I'm not sure. Thanks |
Not positive on torque, but 90 sounds about right. I usually torque by feel, but that might not be a good practice for some.
