Mustang II Front End Coil Overs

Okay, I do not mean to sound Dumb, but I am a little confused. I have the Mustang II front end on my kit and it has coil springs around the stock shocks. So, my question, which I did a search on and could not find the answer to, is when you go to Coil Over Shocks do the new coil overs fit inside the exsisting coil spring, or do the coil overs replace the exsisting shock and exsisting spring?????? I'm so cornfused....somebody please help me get uncornfused before I go nuts......oppps, to late my wife says I'm already nuts. Also, on the rear end, when you use Coil Overs, since the shock is not inside the spring as on the front, do you leave the stock spring or remove it?? Toooooooo many options!!

When you switch to a coilover shock, you replace both the stock shock and spring. The new spring actually rides on the shock which gives you the ride-height adjustment by raising or lowering the collar the spring sits on.

I've got a coilover that would work if you want to replace your stock lower a-arm with a tubular lower a-arm, otherwise, Carrera makes a sweet bolt-in coilover that works with the stock lower a-arm.

For the rear, the same applies in the fact that the coilover replaces both shock and spring. For this there are several options for coilovers, just measure the shocks you have and find one close to the same length.

Hope this helps! If you need more help let me know and I'll e-mail you some pics.

Dana
