Cam timing sets

I bought a (then Comp Cams Hex-A Just cam timing set .the Hex a just #3108 appears in the Summit catalog as a Cloyes now.It mentions a bushing that is turned with an allen wrench. It also is shown as a new item.I bought my Comp Cams Hex-A Just cam timing set in 2001. It had no allen wrench rotated bushing.I haven't started the engine yet.I have only turned the engine over by hand with wrench . While prepairing to start while priming the oil system I noticed that the rockers wern't moving. After testing and tear down I found that the cam dowl had sheard flush with the cam..When asked by my wife if this could happen again I have to say yes. What would you replace it with? For a car that is more fun to drive than work on .Hard to work on hard to get to.and a failure when operating would be the end. Some of the convesation started over on the FE forumn. It is an older 90 inch wheelbase EM 427 FEsideoiler ,2x4s and shell solid lifters,

The hex a ajust engineering when appied to a Ford single bolt style cam leaves the dowl unsupported the thichness of the camgesr.Mine broke while only being turned with a wrench.I have doubts now. What were you trying to show me?It's anormal FE with a front mounted coolant pump. The engine is already installed .I'm tired of working on it and not driving it.
