02 sensors
where can I find a wide range o2 sensor for my air/fuel ratio gauge? Has anyone used these gauges with any success?

At any auto parts store. Bosch makes good ones. I don't have an O2 gauge setup, but hear they work just fine.

Yo dlampe,
I've been looking into the same hardware changes. I have a narrow-band O2 sensor/gauge combo that sort of works. I recently switched to a wide-band unit for my Holley EFI setup and am greatly pleased with the results. I'd like my gauge to be as accurate! There are a few wide-band setups out there. Alas, they use their own "space-age" light bar gauge when all I'd like to do is hook up a wide-band O2 sensor's output to my present, more period correct analog gauge. The problem is that that wide-band units must use a heater and therefore a different harness, and that their output is approx linear 0-5V where the narrow band units are extremely nonlinear and produce more like 0-1V output. I've e-mailed several places, including the gauge mfr, but so far, no joy. The gauge guy said "we can do that" but then never got back to me. I'll let you know if I'm successful - and would appreciate it if you'd do the same. Regards, Tom |
Dlampe How many wire is your O2 sensor? Summit and Jegs carry some. Inovatiate ( I might not be spelling this right sells a wide ratio O2 sensor for A/F for 300.00$. I was looking at this my self. F.A.S.T. sell wide O2 sensors Not shore on the number of wires.Check with them. Rick Lake:)

You might want to consider
http://www.bigstuff3.com/biglogafrm.pdf I also think on the http://www.bgsoflex.com/megasquirt.html that there is information on how to make your own AFR gage. I believe they suggested an O2 sensor from a Honda. |

Just a quick check in here, I have one of the digital gauge wideband ones and really like it. Most of the gauges are designed for race cars so they simply are functional and not to astecially pleasant.
Mine came came with a hinged mount for hiding under the dash. Or for mounting on the cage but it ended up right behind the stearing wheel in all it's ugly bits becasue its really easy to see and hard to ignore. |
