shelby GT #s

I am looking to buy a 350GT , Where can I find an explanation of the shelby vin #s? Also, when you talk of matching #s on a car, how many places do the #s appear?

Terry - I see the car is gone - I assume someone pulled the trigger on $52K Buy it Now. Were you successful?

I spoke to SAAC about #1250 today - they knew the car and the auction. The comment was it seemed legit, the only negative being the info on the door data plate seemed to be a bit out of wack - although this tag isn't mandatory for registration in all states, and was not a big deal. Also suggested was to check the numbers match aspect on the engine.

Finally, it was suggested that the buyer should request the seller to remove one rivet to verify a body match under the vin tag before finalizing the paperwork.

When I pushed for a comment on price the only thing offered was it was at the "top end of the laddder" for pricing. (Aren't they all?)

Good luck, :) :)
