Holly 1850&4160

Hey guys,
What is the difference between the 1850 series and the 4160 series Holly carbs? Both offer up the same sizes and look the same. Thanks to everyone that replied to my last post. I might be replacing the Edelbrock. What is the best choice for my 302? Bored +30 Edelbrock heads, Performer intake, Ford F303 cam.
Thanks,Whitey

Go with a 650 Speed Demon. You will like it plus there was one on ebay the last couple of days..

575 Speed Demon might be a better size unless your going to race it, then you might want to consider a 650.

4160 is the series of the carb and designates that it is a vacuum secondary 4 barrel carb and has a single metering block with Jets and Power Valve in the primary side and a metering "plate" on the secondary side.

4150 series has a metering block with jets in both the primary and secondary sides.

1850 - This is the "LIST" or Part Number of the carb. It designates that it is built on the 4160 platform and is a vacuum secondary 600 CFM carb. It is a fine carb that will work very well for your 302.
