How to polish a turkey pan
I don't even know where to begin. How do you make the aluminum shine. It looks like a pretty rough surface. At the very least it has a directional texture. Could someone walk me through this step by step.

Mother's Aluminum Polish will work.

Another alternative is the metal polish " WENOL "
http://www.autopia-carcare.com/wen-y-376.html
There are many other vendors.
The red tube is used first for pieces in poor condition , then the blue tube
I have used Wenol for a number of years and have been very satisfied.

Depending on the current state of finish, using a simple polish may not be sufficient. You may need to sand further up to about 400 grit, and from there a Scotchbrite cleanup. From that satin finish a hour or so on a buffing wheel should do it.

Bud Man, tell me more about the scotchbrite process. Do you use any compound or anything with it? I've used the sanding and buffing wheel process on everything in the past and curious about the scotchbrite and how well it works. Is it good on rough cast aluminum like intakes after sanding and such or just sheet aluminum? Thanks, G.

Using Scotchbrite after sanding will give you a nice satin finish. You can polish it further from there. I use just the scothbrite pads on my angle air grinder.

Intake, valve covers and air cleaner for the next one! The M1 I had also had the entire engine bay and footbox aluminum polished. I'd like a more subtle finish on the next and will try the scotchbrite for the satin finish. Thanks for the tip! G.

FFR428, Don't worry about it! You should give some consideration to the Hurricane cobras. I can't begin to tell you how impressed I am with these guys. I will be posting more pics in my gallery of thier car. I was out there last week.

I've heard nothing but good things about them. If Gashole Jay (sorry Jay, couldn't remember your last name) from Texas likes them, that's good enough for me.

Thanks and I'll be sure to check out your pics. Give me a yell when you post them if possible. The Hurricane is a sweet looking kit and is on my list for "must see". Having had the FFR I'm looking at some different kits very carefully this time. I really like the ERA and Unique but they are both over the budget I'm working within I'm afraid. The Hurricane is nicely priced and I like what the kit offers. G.
