Has anyone made a fuel log that resembles the original? I see on ebay a fuel log for a 2x4 setup but never for a single 4. Anyboby know where to find one or how to build one?

You may want to give George Anderson of Gessford a call, he might be able to help you out.

I too wanted a fuel log for (1) 4BBl, I made this from thin wall steel tubing. Rick |
You can make one like Rick did....or you can do like I did...just buy one and change it to fit your style.
I got an anodized aluminum fuel long complete with 8AN fittings for $44 from www.speedwaymotors.com I didn't like the fact that it was a bluish-purple color, so I just stripped the anodization off and made it a nice brushed aluminum. Works for me. |

You should start making them and offering them to folk. The your workmanship looks outstanding. Adrian |
dlampe,
I know the guy who builds and distributes a wide variety of the fuel logs on the market today. I was visiting his shop yesterday and he does indeed have what you are looking for. Fair prices too. Let me know if you are interested and I will shoot you his name and number. Mark |
I would like to have his name so I could call him and check out his parts. Was it a local shop?
|
dlampe,
He is reasonably close, Fairview Heights, I will send an email with the info you need. Mark |
single 4bbl fuel log
If you're looking for an original style reproduction, I searched the world over and found only one source, Motorsports International in California phone 619-390-9080. Not cheap, but fits like a glove.
