Cobra Dual Carb Air Filter Base
G'day, just wondering if anyone can help me or point me in the right direction with my query:
I have been offered a Cobra dual 4 barrel intake, cobra air filter and finned rocker covers as a set from a deceased estate (father in law). My mother in law told me that her husband had removed these items from his AC Cobra years ago (and subsequently sold the car with a different setup) and had put them away in a box in the top of his garage and they were never touched again as they weren't needed. Now my question: we have been led to believe that the base of the aircleaner setup may be rarer than usual due to the fact of it being made from pressed steel (earlier shelby production) rather than aluminium (later ford production) is this true or not??? I personally own a K-Code HiPo 289 Mustang Fastback and may use the setup if suitable...not sure though. I have seen the items for myself and have known of them for many years, can anyone help?
