Torque specs for Mcleod pressure plate on FE???
Putting the clutch back together tonight and just curious about the torque specs for the pressure plate bolts.
Any help is appreciated! |

Per Mcleods Site page 27
BOLTS - 3/8" PRESSURE PLATE TO FLYWHEEL - 6 PER PAK - TORQUE TO 30-35 FT. LBS 1501 BOLTS - 5/16" PRESSURE PLATE TO FLYWHEEL - 6 PER PAK - TORQUE TO 20-25 FT. LBS Use a small amount of Red Locktite on the threads. (my comment) I would be a little cautious however with these values if it was an aluminum flywheel. PS: I'll even try to help the FE guys ONCE in a while, I'll call in the favor later. Should be worth quite a bit..........7:45 on a Friday night. What do you think? Rick |
