I also have the Electromotive Tec 3 system. I have spent a lot of time with it and still not sure that my tuning is as good as it could be. Tell me more about your system and this software from Lance. Thanks..
Mike |
Mike, you are better off calling Lance if you need any technical questions answered. We are using the Redline Weber Fuel Management System. Check out their website at www.redlineweber.com I'm sure that the site will answer a lot of your questions. Good luck, Mike.

Mike, While Ive got you here Is CSX4266 yours? If so what paint did you use on it? Michael
|
Michael4yah, CSX4266 is mine. The color is blue, Sapphire Blue with white phosphorous stripes!

Bill,
I started another thread on Paint and have had absolutley no intrest in it at all!! I was trying to find out who had the best version of guardsman blue. Who made your paint? |
It might be a PPG color. Not too sure. Newport Shelby Cobras painted the car.

Hey Guys!
I too admire the paint on 4266! The Nevada Shelby American Automobile club has a section for paint codes. It shows a Sapphire Blue Metallic. It's PPG paint code is 13075. Ford also called the color 1966 T-bird Bright blue Metallic. I'm sure that if you go to their site you'll be able to check these codes out. This is a great color! I'm in the process of choosing a color for my csx car. I like Viper GTS blue too. This Sapphire Blue seems close. It's not only the paint on 4266 that gets me. Its the fuel inj. That's artwork! I love it! Who built the engine for you, and did they tune and set up the F.I. for you also? You must be really happy with that set up. Any advice for someone who is considering TWM injection like this? Anyway, take Care! Thanks! Ryan |
Ryan, my engine was built by Dave Dralle who lives at Willow Springs Raceway outside of rosamond, California. The TWM's computer, other hardware, software etc. was supplied by Lance Nist of Pantera Specialists in Santa Ana, California. When Dralle converted the engine over to the fuel injection, he also added crank trigger ignition and did away with the distributor. The eight coil packs are so well hidden that you can't even see where the spark plug wires disappear to. The engine was run at the dyno and tuned out of the car. Once the engine was installed, Lance tuned it with my laptop computer. The only drawback to the TWM's is the air filtration system. There is one made for it, but it is ugly and hides the stacks. We are working on a push on foam filter system for it now! Clearance under the hood is hard to deal with.
Good luck, Bill |
Thanks for the reply Bill! The fuel injection sounds like quite the chore to set up. I bet that it's all worth it once it's in and functional though.
I think that I have the Sapphire Paint code correct? If I called down to Newport Shelby do you think that they'll have the correct paint info on that color? I have spent much time looking through your gallery. It's certainly a great color and car. I'm finding it quite the challenge choosing the right blue. It's so frustrating when all I have is a computer screen to look at. Thanks again, Bill. Ryan |
Ryan, ask for Marc. He owns Newport Shelby Cobras. He's not there today. Call him first thing Monday morning!
Thank you for your kind words. I know that there are a lot of blue colored Cobras out there, but that's the way I remember the car when I was young. I always said that if I ever got the chance to own one, it would be dark blue with white stripes. And now I have it! |
