I have read all the threads on spacing but what size head do the standard hood rivits have? Is it the standard 1/4 in. head or are they larger? If they are not the standard size, where do you get them?

Hi dlampe,
I used standard size 1/4" head - 1/8" shaft stainless rivets. The original competition Cobra rivets were this size, but I believe they were aluminum. I drilled 1/8” holes and secured the rivets with black RTV. I went with stainless because they are easy to polish and won’t oxidize. You can get them at Home Depot.

I used 8 x 32 stailess button head screws. I think they look nicer and don't have a tendency to crush the fiberglass.
