Shelby Cobra chassis/body on ebay

There is a Shelby/CAV body and Shelby 4000 frame on ebay for sale. I've seen this body and frame and it is beautiful and a match to the Shelby 4000 chassis and body. I'm not too sure it isn't actually a Shelby body and frame, actually. It has the new style Shelby fiberglass tub and footboxes and most of the aluminum for the inner panels. All the Kirkham and Shelby 4000 drivetrain, suspension, and exterior/interior pieces bolt right up to it.
You could have a Shelby CSX style cobra for a lot less than SAI is asking for them.
No, I'm not the seller but I know the seller and he is a really good guy and very knowledgable about the Shelby Cobras from the beginning.

Check it out if you're interested. You won't see another deal like this for quite some time as this is the last one he has available.

It was never built into a car. This is a brand new frame, body and body parts just as you see it. It's never had a bolt in it. I think they are only a year or two old.

You can e-mail the seller and I believe he stated in the ad he would be glad to give the history of the chassis/body. This owner also has an absolutely gorgeous Contemporary that I would love to own. I believe it is also for sale "for the right price. "

CAV changed the pivot points on the front upper control arm mounts by moving them out at least an inch. This was required so the their (CAV's) front suspension would work.

I doubt "Shelby (Series 4000) or Kirkham" suspension would work.

Your "friend" really needs to list a better description and higher quality pictures if he really wants to sell this chassis. Then again, how many bodys does he have, as I see he sold a CAV body a little while ago as well. Half his ads speak as if he is a dealer of some kind, half as if he is just a simple end user....What's the whole story here????

Sumbuddy should buy it, clone the frame and send the body down to Mexico to get splashed. If the person knew where and who to deal with, the could have some real cheap kits made. Suspension part$?, That is the easy stuff, all avaliable from your local dealer.

I was in touch with the guy on the body a couple of weeks ago. His name is Phil Henney and he worked for Shelby back in 67 on the GT40's and Mk IV's. He has a book out about it at .www.justcallmecarroll.com
He told me he still deals with the man.
