For those of you with Webers...interesting jetting finding

I have been doing my final tuning to my Weber IDA setup, and was struggling with the transition and some general balkiness. On whim I changed the pump exhaust jet from 55 to a 50, and wow what a difference. Pulls hard all the way, no sags. This engine spools like a crotch rocket! So if your having some problems consider the exhaust jet. For refererence my current settings are:

Idle: 60/120
Main: 150/F7/195
Choke: 37
Pump ext/shooter: 50/50
Screws: 7/8 turn

351W milder cam, 5degrees overlap

Thanks, Chuck. Good information to have for all of us Weber users out there. On the OEM carbs, typically the pump jet is closed off. Enzo Alibrandi always suggested going to the 50/55 exhaust jet. It is interesting that one step down made a big difference. Glad it worked out. I like your jetting overall; it looks right on the money. Good going!!

302?

Cal,

Are those numbers good for a 302 also?

Thanks

Thorin:

Sure. As a matter of fact, those are pretty close to the specs that Enzo used on his 427 car. His air correction jets were around 210, I think. Other than that, they are right on the money.
