Oil pan clearance?
How far does your oil pan hang below your frame rails?
I'm getting some conflicting information on how high the frame motor mounts need to be and I thought I would check in with the experts before I cut and weld my perches. Also, my oil pan is 8" deep at the front sump. Is there a shallower oil pan that will work on a 351W stroked to 393? Thanks, Bob |
My Aviad road race pan is far from being the lowest point. THAT honor goes to my bell housing.

8" depth is a pretty standard depth for the 351 W. Milodon has one that is 7 1/2" deep. A dry sump pan can be considerably shallower if you've got the bucks.
