trunk shocks
Anyone installed spring shocks on your trunk to hold it open. I have the ROD, but it is a pain.

Do you mean Gas struts?? I have seen them on a few cobras, they work pretty good. For authenticity, the click rod thingee is good.

Midstates offers the gas struts as an option for both hood & trunk. I did the hood ones because it holds the hood up higher and I don't thunk the hood on my noggin when I knock the rod out of the hole... :)
I sent the trunk ones back because I'm going to use the "click rod thingee" (I like that terminology!)
They should work for just about any kit... the brackets at the top are attached with blind threaded rivets (rivnuts) and the bottoms are attached to the hoop around the trunk opening.

Measure the length you need and don't go over 30#. you will need the mounting hardware - they have that too. Worked for both my hood and trunk.
