coolent fluid levels
on my contemp, where i put the coolent in i was wondering what level it should be....i popped the radiator cap off and it was dry cold. The radiator cap is on the front of the motor just like the 427 cars. Im not sure what its called...seen early tbirds with it.
should the coolent at cold temp be visible when removing the cap? the car was in NH so its set for that climate, i want to drain fluid and run distilled water and water wetter. just want to make sure i put back enough.

In short, yes. Make sure you have a over flow tank and a accurate radiator pressure cap. I like using water wetter also plus apx., 25% mixture of antifreeze for lubrication. Living in a cold climate in winter, make sure you have a 50% mixture of antifreeze or drain the block, radiator & hoses.
