mini starter wiring

I have a Bosch mini starter to put on my 5.0. It has a solenoid mounted on it a la GM cars. My car has a separate fender-mounted starter solenoid as per most vintage Fords. The Bosch has a large pole on the solenoid where I assume the battery cable goes (from the fender-mounted solenoid). It also has a small spade type connection that I assume is to engage the starter. My question is how do I wire this up? Do I have to make a jumper somehow? If so, where to connect it, and how heavy should the jumper wire be?
The starter is made to fit this car, and came with no instructions.

I bought a mini-starter, and here is the instructions I received with it. It sounds similar to what you are describing. Hope this helps.
