Registering a car in PA without a title?
Can you register a car in PA that doesn't have a title? Thanks in advance!
|
Hi Mike -
Search previous threads on subject for PA registration. If incomplete go to a local title company ie Best Auto Tags. Make sure the office has experience in processing COBRA requests - very important because omissions will delay the 6-10 week process. Good luck |
This actually isn't Cobra related, (My bad, should've been clearer in my first post:o ) its actually about a 68' Mustang with no title, if that makes a difference.

Mike,
No, you can't. If there is no title, you'll need to either apply for a duplicate title or an abandoned title. Steve |
Thanks Steve!

Look in magazines like, Kit Car, Hot Rod, Car craft ect.... you will find companys that will supply you with a wrecked car title from a salvage yard. He sent me a recept for $100 for the "frame".....I bought from him. Apx. $75 ,that is what I did. Up until last year here in Ne. we could not get one either. Taxes for my cobra was $38, I believe. I tried for months to do it the honest way but, at the time they did not have a "assembled vechicle" for titles. Now they do.

It is a FELONY to switch VIN numbers between vehicles.. Titles services that sell you a title to put on another car are in violation of FEDERAL LAW. You can get a replacement title, but do it by the book, go to www.pavehiclenews.com
