Timing Light and Jack Stands
My old timing light just died (about 35 years old), bought in 1970 when I purchased my 70 Olds 442. Still have it!
Any suggestions on timing light type/brand to use with my Cobra? Its a SPF with 351W from Olthoff Racing. Ford distributor and coil. No MSD or other stuff added. And my old jack stands are amongst the missing. How about jack stands? Want ones that fit the frame rails and are of good quality. Links to web sites would also be appreciated but not necessary. Do not want to buy junk. Thanks in advance:3DSMILE: |
Harbor freight tools for jack stands.
What ever floats your boat on a timing light. I have a Snap On. |
Do not get the digital snap-on timing light, the dial advance is less prone to problems, according to a local salesman

Agreed,Harbor Freight as the best price on jack stands, try to find those with the little "pad" under the four corners,if you are on ashalt, the ones without the pads will sometimes sink into the ashalt and some tracks require these kind of jack stands......... I have a sears timing light, must be 30 years old, works great, hope it does not break,I do not like the ones with the dial on the back, just another thing to break or screw up............
