Mechanics in Chatsworth Ca

I have a superformace Mk III that I recently purchased and the car is running great.

however I noticed a few drops of oil on the floor of my garage this morning. nothing major but I defenitely want to have it checked out.

I also want to get an oil change. I figure every 1500 miles or so is about right.

It has a 402 Roush Motor in it but the shop that installed the motor is in Orange County. Rather than take it all the way down there, anyone know of a good mechanic in the San Fernando Valley or close by?

do I even need someone that specializes in cobras or will the local ford dealership suffice?

thanks in advance.

Sam

Ohh! THose dealership guys would love to get a hold of your cobra!! I can see em now lining up to test drive the oil change/repairs done. If you know of anyone with a muscle car that has a good mechanic I would prefer him to any dealership. I may be soured on dealerships but the fact is most of those mechanics have never riden in a cobra let alone worked on one. You might also call the people who did the instalation and see if they know anyone in the Valley that can help you. Anyone who lives in LA knows the traffic and IM sure they would try to help you out. Michael

Hey Sam,

Give MAECO Motorsports a call. They maintain and race prep lots of Cobra's and Shelby Mustangs. My cars previous owner used them many times and was very happy with them. I have been to the shop and was impressed. If I need something done, I would'nt hesitate in using them.

They are @ 18306 Eddy St., Northridge Ca. 91325
off of Reseda just south of Parthenia

Sam,

Mike Eisenberg at MAECO is a good choice, I used to run autcrosses with him when he had a Cobra.

Another good guy is Mike Willard at Willard Automotive. He's on Canoga, South of Roscoe (818-888-2448). He's an old circle track racer and an amazing troubleshooter. Got my Cobra though smog tests for years.

Sam,
What Jason said.

Call Mike Eisenberg to talk about the problem and when to bring the car in as they tend to be busy prepping cars for the next race/event. Mike is good people. They do good work at his shop. You can trust him to tell you what you need and what you don't.

btw, I am the guy Jason was talking about.
