Exhaust DIP COATING

Hi all, I like to know if there is a system where mild steel exhaust components can be dipped into a solution for better coverage of hard to get places... the reason I ask is that I have built twin-skined quad pipes and I'd like to have a product applied to all surfaces inside and out. The twin-skined pipes have a 3mm air gap between them, this is where spraying a coating will not be sufficient enough to prevent corrosion.

Chromate dipping is this for all types of metals or just aluminium? and is is good stuff for appearance/corrosion?

OR is ceramic coating able to be dipped instead of static spraying?

Is there such a thing as stainless steel plating?

If anyone has any information which could help me out... please do!!! %/ %/

COATING

HI SIMMO,

I THINK THAT HOT DIP GALVANISING IS WHAT U NEED.

IT DOSENT THAT GOOD BUT WILL STOP ALL COROSION.

TO PAINT OVER IT WOULD MAKE IT LOOK ACCEPTABLE.

U ALSO NEED TO ASK THEM IF IT WILL TAKE THE HEAT WITHOUT BURNING OFF.

PHONE YOUR LOCAL BOAT TRAILER DEALER AND HE COULD POINT U IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.

GOOD LUCK
