T56 FE 90" WB. Any room left for driveshaft?

One of my projects is a Hi Tech Alum car. IM going with the Pond Alum 427FE and T56 Viper trans with the std Cobra IRS. If anyone has done this in a 90" wheelbase car Id like to hear from you about the driveshaft and in particular if you had any problems with the ujoints binding. Thanks%/

Michael,
I build my Contenporary in 1982 using a 351-C. In Dec 03 I installed a T-56
from a 03 Mustang Cobra. The drive shaft was shortened to 5 3/4", and
there is no binding. If you do a search using T-56. I have a post dated
12-22-03 giving detailed information on the instulation.

Michael,
All Cobra's have a really short driveshaft, probably shorter than any other car in existance. Many people have your exact same setup, you don't have anything out of the ordinary. with an IRS, your driveshaft won't bind mainly because it doesn't move, (up and down) because it is in a fixed position.

Thanks guys, Anyone else have a T56/driveshaft experience to share. What kind of trans mount changes did you have to make? I'm going to move the shifter to the forward location. Actually Im sending it out to Keisler Engineering and let them do their magic on it.
